Social tariff support
This is just an initial guide, it does not guarantee eligibility, and a full application is required to confirm any support.
To apply for a reduced tariff, you must be on a water meter or on assessed charges. If you’re not currently on either, you can apply for a water meter. If we’re unable to install one, we’ll move you onto assessed charges.

*What does ‘equivalised income’ mean?
This figure adjusts your household income for the number of people living in your home, showing what your household needs to maintain basic living standards. For example, £295 goes further for one person than it does for a family of four. We’ll work this out based on the details you provide.
Support with your outstanding balance
This checker provides an initial guide to the support that might be available to help with your water bills. A full application is needed to confirm any help.
You might find that switching to a water meter can help reduce your bill and make payments easier to manage, as you only pay for what you use. If you’d like to explore this option, apply for a water meter and we’ll check if one can be installed at your home.
