Bournemouth Water is making a splash at Christchurch Carnival this weekend, returning for a third year to join the community for a free weekend of fun at The Quay.

Taking place from 15–17 August at The Quay in Christchurch, the much-loved carnival raises vital funds for local charities and promises a packed programme of live music, colourful parades, fireworks, bike stunt shows, craft stalls, street food, charity raffles, and even a tug of war.

Bournemouth Water will be there providing water-saving advice, water-themed games, billing support, and their friendly mascot to engage with visitors and bring extra fun to the event.

Richard Stanbrook, Director of Drinking Water Services at Bournemouth Water, said: “Events like Christchurch Carnival play a key role in bringing people together and supporting local causes. Being involved for a third year means we can keep building those connections with the community.

“We’ll be on hand to offer practical advice about saving water and to help with any billing questions, so customers can feel confident they’re only paying for what they use.

“Plus, our mascot Flash the Splash will be around to add some extra fun for families and visitors. It’s a great chance to engage in a friendly, informal setting while supporting the important charity work the carnival does.”

Sam Walton, Customer Engagement Manager at Bournemouth Water, added: “Christchurch Carnival is the perfect place us to connect with the local community.

“We really enjoy speaking with residents about how they can save water and offering support with their bills, all while the kids have a blast playing our water-themed games and winning prizes.

“It's a fantastic family friendly day and it’s great to see the community come together and get involved! We look forward to seeing everyone there.”
