No, swimming isn’t allowed in any of our reservoirs.
However, Blashford Lakes Nature Reserve covers 360 acres and offers guided and self-guided walks, excellent bird watching opportunities and regular wildlife activities for families. It’s a great place for all the family to enjoy nature, as there’s always plenty to see.
We currently have no plans to introduce a hosepipe ban this summer (2025) but we are seeing a rise in demand for water as we would always expect in warmer months. We are continuing to work hard to manage our resources, tackle leakage and support our customers with using water wisely – simple steps like using a watering can instead of a hose, or taking shorter showers, really do to protect our most precious resource.
