Wildlife Trust partners

We are corporate members of the Dorset Wildlife Trust and the Hampshire Wildlife Trust and we work in partnership with them.

A key project currently being undertaken by the Dorset Wildlife Trust is the Wildlink Project which aims to conserve threatened wild landscapes in urban Dorset. Find out more

We are partners with the Hampshire Wildlife Trust, Wessex Water and the New Forest District Council in the management of Blashford Lakes, near Ibsley, just north of Ringwood.

Most of our water comes from the Rivers Avon and Stour which are local chalk rivers. We have reduced the environmental impact of water abstraction by encouraging customers to use water wisely. We are also helping the Wildlife Trusts to improve habitats along these rivers and their tributaries, and at other sites. The video below was made by the Dorset Wildlife Trust to show the rich biodiversity of the River Allen, a tributary of the River Stour.

Should you get a water meter?

Water meters have important benefits for you, for us and for the environment as you can have more control over your water use and leaks are easier to detect.
