Senior appointments at Sembcorp Bournemouth Water

Two senior appointments have been announced at Sembcorp Bournemouth Water (SBW).

Bob Taylor has joined the water supply company as Director of Operations while Sharnine Coleman is appointed to the new post of Head of Communications.

Bob Taylor has 30 years' experience of the water sector in both the UK and overseas.

His previous senior posts have included Managing Director of The China Water Company in Hong Kong; Head of Asset Management for Sembcorp China and UK-based Business Development Director of Sembcorp Utilities Services.

He has also held senior positions with water companies in Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Bangalore, Kazakhstan and Australia.

A chartered civil engineer, Mr Taylor is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers; Fellow of the
Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) and a member of the Institute of Water.

Sharnine Coleman joins SBW from Barclays where, latterly, she was Communications Manager for
Barclays Pensions Administration.

She has 21 years' experience of communications and public relations, working for a range of companies in the UK and South Africa.

Commenting on the appointments, Roger Harrington, SBW's Managing Director, said: “For a water
company, effective communications with our customers and all other stakeholders is very important and Sharnine will help us to do this better.

"Bob’s appointment strengthens the management of our operations. I am confident that he will bring new ideas to enable us to become even more efficient in what we do while ensuring a safe and reliable supply of water."
