Your water charges depend on whether you have a meter. Most of our customers are on a meter.
If you have a meter, you are charged for:
The amount of water you have used
The standing charge
Metered charges are based on the amount of water the meter records. Metered bills therefore vary according to how much water is used, like gas and electricity bills.
About the standing charge
If you don’t have a meter you are charged:
An amount per £1 of the rateable value of the property
