Serious incidents

Serious water quality failures are very rare, but we do have to be prepared for them.

If there is a water quality failure, please follow the advice we give. We will deliver a ‘do not use’, ‘do not drink’, or ‘boil water’ notice to your home. We will then let you know as soon as the supply is back to normal.

If the problem is our fault, you may be entitled to a small amount of compensation which will automatically be credited to your water account. Details are in our Customer Charter.
