Emergency water supply

If the interruption to your water supply lasts more than 24 hours, we will give you water in bottles or from portable tanks called bowsers. This will be enough for drinking, cooking and washing.

You are entitled to at least 10 litres of water per person each day. If the supply is interrupted for more than five days, we will increase this to at least 20 litres a day.

Extra help

Please register for Customer Care Extra if you or someone you know either

  • needs water for a medical condition, or
  • would not be able to get water from a bowser in the street

We will use this register to make sure your needs are given priority in an emergency. Call Customer Service on 01202 590059.
